Jelawang Capital is a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional and it is Malaysia’s National Fund-of-Funds, an initiative under Dana Impak, aimed at developing Malaysia’s venture capital ecosystem via investments and partnerships with fund managers.

It achieves its mission through two flagship programmes:
Emerging Fund Managers’ Programme (EMP)
The EMP aims to help promising Malaysian VC fund managers to build strong institutional track records and grow their fundraising credibility.
The programme equips these fund managers with the necessary capabilities for sustainable success through access to institutional design frameworks and governance tools.
By strengthening local VCs, we improve Malaysian startup access to capital, deeper support and further growth opportunities, leading to a more robust and dynamic national innovation economy.
Regional Fund Managers’ Initiative (RMI)
The RMI aims to strategically position Malaysia as an attractive investment hub with credible fund managers and strategic cross-border partnerships by facilitating entry of international capital, capabilities and global networks.
This initiative is designed to attract experienced global fund managers with a proven track record of adding value to local startup ecosystems, discovering new Malaysian entrepreneurs and fostering collaborations with Malaysian companies to boost productivity and knowledge transfer.
