Integrity and Anti-Corruption
In line with the Framework on Integrity and Governance for GLICs (FIGR), Khazanah embeds integrity and anti-corruption practices into day-to-day operations as part of an organisation-wide effort.
With the conclusion of our Integrity and Anti-Corruption Plan (IACP) covering 2019–2023, the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) approved its transition into an annual compliance and integrity programme, implemented at the working level from 2024 onwards. These matters are reported to the ARC by the Chief Risk Officer, who also serves as Khazanah’s designated Chief Integrity & Governance Officer (CIGO), in accordance with national directives.
Khazanah has previously convened closed-door engagements with Second Line of Defence professionals from its investee companies and other government-linked investment companies (GLICs). In 2024, Khazanah collaborated with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to host the nationwide CIGO Symposium 2024 on 4 July. Held under the theme “Penguatkuasaan Integriti: Cabaran dan Usaha Penambahbaikan”, the event featured speakers from enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.
The symposium brought together approximately 200 CIGOs from various GLICs, statutory bodies and government-linked companies (GLCs) at both federal and state levels. Khazanah also launched its publication “Achieving Adequate Procedures for Small and Medium Enterprises: Khazanah Perspective” at the event.
Achieving Adequate Procedures for Small and Medium Enterprises: A Khazanah Publication
Khazanah has published a practical guide to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in navigating corporate liability risks under Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act. This publication offers practical insights and strategies drawn from Khazanah’s own experience, helping SMEs implement “Adequate Procedures” tailored to their operations and resources.
